Peter Dubitsky, M.S, L.Ac.

Peter Dubitsky, New Paltz acupuncture pain management.

Peter Dubitsky came to acupuncture through interests in Asian arts and philosophy, athletics, health and fitness, and the martial arts, which he continues to enjoy by training in Tai Chi and Tang Soo Do karate. He completed his acupuncture training in 1991 and was among the first acupuncturists to earn a NYS License in Acupuncture in 1992.

Peter developed a special interest in the treatment of pain conditions through personal positive experiences with trigger point acupuncture to successfully treat his own athletic injuries, the pain conditions of other athletes, as well as other injuries and pain conditions of his patients. Complementing his clinical specialization, he has completed a 300-hour post-graduate program in the Acupuncture Treatment of Orthopedic Conditions.

Peter has an extensive professional  experience:

  • College Administration and Education - He is the Director of Clinical Training at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA) in NYC, where he has been a part-time instructor and clinic supervisor for the past 20 years. He also directs the TSCA post-graduate externship program, and oversees the externs working at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitative Medicine. Click open this article about our collaboration.
  • Integrative Medicine - Peter worked for 17 years in a family medical practice, integrating acupuncture with the medical care of patients.
  • Service to the Profession - He served two five-year terms on the NYS Board for Acupuncture, finishing his last five-year term as the chair of the board. He currently serves as an "Extended Member" providing advice to the board and the Office of Professional Discipline.
